Children of Earth, we know that most of you have been for many years of your lives on Earth very great fans of the Science-Fiction Dreamers. Such concepts are now prevalent everywhere on Earth— in every nation, in every university and college, and even in many seminaries. The Science-Fiction Dreamers have created a fantasy world for themselves as the real world degenerates and falls into chaos, and their world-view is altogether based on the premises of Humanism and Upward Evolution. Their world-view is now predominant in popular literature, in cinema, in television programming, and even in computer games.
Two science-fiction cosmologies of our Earth, in particular, have gained such a vast audience and such
a massive popularity that they have lately gone far beyond the mere characteristic of religiosity. Thesetwo have become like actual cults, with the adherents manifesting much cult-like behavior.
Let us now investigate some of the characteristics that are common to both the Star Trek cult and the
The devotees of both nurture a peculiar worldview as they continue to worship their specialized idols.
The fans eagerly observe all the magical illusions and false promises which are paraded before them;they applaud and cheer, and they beg for more entertainment of a similar stripe. They obtain inspirationfrom the icons and artifacts which are ceaselessly displayed for them by their science-fiction-writingprophets and the high priests of their Cosmic Optimism.
Huge crowds of such s-f fans are now seen to be renting the premises of many large buildings on
Earth, which they need in order to have fellowship “conventions,” and they employ the giant buildings forthis purpose. The conventions somehow function like a group-worship experience for the practitionersof each cult.
In such gatherings, the adherents absorb much inspiration and happiness from a large variety of artists
and exotic entertainers who are connected with their cult. The adherents all feel much edified andencouraged by the endless array of Inspiring Illusions which their magicians place before their eyes. Afterleaving the convention hall, the Star Trek and Star Wars adherents find themselves full of energy andvery eager to proselytize others, hoping that more people will come to share their faith in the worlds ofthe future.
They promote their ideology with an infinite enthusiasm. But what is the basis of their ideology? First,
it is based on a Sense of Wonder that they feel when they regard the Majesty of God’s Vast Universe, and they are excited about all the prospects for adventure, success, and elevation that exist within HisUniverse. Marvelous, they think! It’s all so marvelous! That’s fine, all well and good. No problem there, and in that regard, they may have fun with our Lord’s blessing.
To admire a Marvelous Universe, a Universe full of adventure and endless prospects, is certainly no
sin, and indeed it may be the sign of a virtuous mind.
But the secondary foundation is the predominant one for most of these cultic devotees, and this one
is unGodly, the source of an abominable religion. The underlying foundation for both cults is built of theunsubtle idolatries that have already existed on our Earth for many years now: Humanism, Scientism, and Futurism.
Some of the devotees consider themselves “non-religious” because they worship only those three idols:
Humanity, Science, and Future. Other devotees consider themselves “religious” because they haveadded to that list a fourth idolatry: These choose to worship the Universe itself rather than the Creatorof All, and so they are guilty of Pantheism.
But rather than feeling shame over that fact, they boast about a great pride they feel in themselves,
openly declaring themselves to be of the Pantheist persuasion.!
Do they not realize that such a position is no different from the Baal worship of ancient times, when
their ancestors worshiped the Sun, the Moon, and the Stars. rather than the Creator of our Universe?
This is what angers our God, because God is a jealous God, and our race must place no other gods
before God.! If they worship Baal, they will surely perish when catastrophe comes down upon theTemple of Baal.!
Some of the cultic devotees misconceive in that way, proclaiming themselves to be pantheistic. But the
great majority of these devotees maintain that certainly there can be no “God” behind the visible gloriesof the Universe! Instead, they worship the Human Being as the highest form of evolution, thinkingthemselves to be very intelligent and powerful.!
There may very well be alien creatures of other stars that are much wiser and more powerful than
Earthlings, these dreamers maintain! Such alien monsters might turn out to exist as beings of vastintelligence, of great age, and enormous maturity, they say! Some of these weird aliens may be millionsof years old, the devotees declare.!
But these very same Space Cadets will simultaneously insist that surely there could never exist a being
so intelligent and powerful as the God Almighty Who is said to have created the Universe. Who isreported to have appeared to the population of Earth in the bodily form of Jesus Christ.!
These folks insist they are very “rational” and only “logical” in their other-worldly dreams! In reality, they
1) Angels cannot possibly exist, of course (they’re only mythical), but alien creatures on other planets
have to exist because there are so many stars with planets. It’s a matter of probability, you know. Thesealien creatures may be much wiser than human beings. maybe they are enormously ancient, millionsof years old. Maybe they’ll be benevolent and bring for humans a solution to all their earthbound troubles!Maybe they’ll bring salvation to the Earth! Maybe a benevolent alien will come to Earth as a newmessiah!
2) The aliens we will encounter will probably be a lot more intelligent than human beings, because
they’ll have a lengthy lifespan and special powers that they get from the evolution of their life-energy. Earthlings are at a big disadvantage, though, since humans die at a young age and don’t get any chancefor a long lifespan.! Earthlings die young and go to oblivion, since they don’t have a spirit. Life AfterDeath? That would be too impossible and would require some supernatural intervention! Too bad that
the idea of eternal life is just a fanciful dream! Heaven and Hell can’t possibly exist. but there may besome pre-existing heavens and hells out there among the many planets of a Big Universe.! Where didthose heavenly planets come from. the ones they hope to find? Oh, they were manufactured by themechanics of universal evolution.!
3) God Almighty couldn’t possibly have been the Creator of this Universe (it got here by evolution), nor
is He the Designer of our planet Earth! But this much is evident (so say the sci-fi prophets): Soon humanbeings will mature to the point where they will be able to create their own new planets. Human beingsare so wise and powerful now that they are almost ready to start “terra-forming” planets of the SolarSystem and of other stars! Why, soon the people of Earth will be busy recreating and reshaping planetsaccording to their whims, just by using their own Godlike power to remake everything they find floatingaround the stars.!
They think that God Almighty has not made the Universe nor the planet that they currently live upon,
yet they aspire to recreate planets of other stars according to their fancy!
They feel that they are Omni-Competent and highly qualified for this endeavor!
All this is vanity and a chasing after wind.
Such thoughts are idolatry of the worst sort. Such idolatry is an abomination in God’s Eye, making a
travesty of God’s Truth. Instead of Science-Truth, these cults have believed the lie of Science-Fiction.
This is what greatly angers our God, because God is a jealous God, and our race must place no other
gods before God.! If they worship Baal, they will surely perish when catastrophe comes down upon theTemple of Baal.!
The Star Trek cult is the older of the two, but the Star Wars cult is equally expansive. Many of the
adherents of these two science-fiction cults display exactly the same kind of obsessive behavior that iscommonly found in a person whom they themselves would call a “religious fanatic.” These two cults evencompete with each other for a position of dominance and superiority, constantly debating as to whichreligion is the better of the two.
The fans of each cult, both the Star Trek worshipers and the Star Wars worshipers, are busily writing
(and publishing) many articles about “The Religion of Star Trek” and “The Religion of Star Wars.”
The religion of Star Wars is seen to be one extolling the supernatural powers gotten from “the Force”
and its Yin-Yang complements, which are declared to be “the Light Side” and “the Dark Side” of theForce. George Lucas has admitted that the fantasy-religion of Star Wars is a rather generic one(interpreted in different ways by persons of different faiths), yet it speaks of the Universe in the languageof Buddhism, and with certain characteristics of Eastern mysticism. This could lead some of his youngfans to a big interest in Zen or Eastern mysticism, which they may pursue in more depth as they mature.
That is a troubling proposition in itself, but even more disturbing is the mind-set of these Force-loving
children. because they begin to see the fantasy universe of Star Wars, in their own minds, as more realthan the Science-Truth Universe that God Almighty has created for them. A Star Wars addiction can berather dangerous for this reason, and we have already seen countless adults who have remained justas addicted to Star Wars as their own children have been.
But far more dangerous than Star Wars addiction is the threat of Star Trek conditioning, because the
various Star Trek series have been quite tireless in their presentation of the Star Trek religion. The StarTrek religion is Humanism, and it is being presented weekly to the population of America, and to theentire planet Earth, as the only real solution for all the ills of mankind. Star Wars seems to be mostly concerned with the fun factor, and less eager to propagandize. The
fantasy-religion of its alternate universe would not be so objectionable if it were not for one salient andreprehensible fact: Judaism and Christianity are clearly rejected, made conspicuous by their absence. It is obvious that those “old-fashioned” faiths have ceased to exist in the Star Wars universe. Judaismand Christianity no longer exist in the alternative universe of the Star Wars cultists, and God’s ownfollowers are not seen within those stories in any recognizable form.
Nevertheless, followers of a false religion (or an exotic new religion) are seen to proliferate in the stories
of the Star Wars universe. This is the usual way of things in science-fiction stories. In most s-f novels,Judaism and Christianity have utterly disappeared (becoming extinct no doubt, through a process ofevolution), while false religions abound.
The Star Trek cult worships these same four idols— Humanism, Scientism, Futurism, and Pantheism.
But these adherents add yet another idol to the mix. They glorify also a fifth idol, which is Evolutionism. The Star Trek writers are constantly trumpeting the faith of Evolutionism, and when the armies of StarTrek followers hear that horn, the devotees quickly fall into line. They feel that evolution is undoubtedlythe key to that “glorious future” which they believe the march of Time will reveal to them.
The Star Trek generals have watched in delight as the ranks of their recruits swelled considerably and
became worldwide divisions stationed in many countries. The trekkers take much pride in theiraccomplishments and their enterprise, because they see they now have many armies of multi-nationalsoldiers, armies that are already assembled in massive formations, and they sense that they aremarching to victory. After many decades of unbridled growth and prosperity, the Star Trek generals arestarting to feel that their movement is quite unstoppable.
The various Star Trek series are even more dangerous than that of the Star Wars enterprise because
of their determination— and their unflagging energy— as they put out a steady stream of propagandafor the religion of Humanism. There have been a large number of magazine articles written on thissubject for the people of Earth, and these declare the Star Trek series to be a powerful vanguard for theforces of Humanism. Isaac Asimov saw Star Trek as a wonderful platform for the faith of Humanism, andmany others have loved it for the very same reason.
In the introduction to his 1991 interview with Gene Roddenberry (for The Humanist, in the March/April
1991 issue), David Alexander wrote: “Gene Roddenberry is one of the most influential yet unheraldedhumanists of the twentieth century. His two most famous creations, Star Trek and its successor StarTrek: The Next Generation, are solidly based upon humanistic principles and ideas.”1
Later in that same interview, David Alexander wrote: “Star Trek: The Next Generation is probably the
most humanistic entertainment program that is on television— or perhaps, ever has been on television.”2
A bit after that, “Another good example of humanistic philosophy on the program is the episode ‘Justice’
from the first season of the current series.” David Alexander then remarks, “At the conclusion of theepisode, I recall turning to my wife and commenting that that was the most anti-religious and humanistictelevision program I had seen in years.”3
The various Star Trek series have always been amazingly effective in that regard! This vehicle of
humanist propaganda has already conditioned the minds of its cultic fans. in a number that containscountless millions of individuals throughout the world. during every single year of its many incarnations,in every year that has passed since the first television series made its debut in 1966!
I can recall all-too-clearly my own youthful fascination with the fantasy-worlds of Star Trek. The original
TV series first appeared on U.S. television during the years from 1966 to 1969. It was as I was passingthrough the 10th, 11th, and 12th grades, and it was one of the most influential factors in my own mentaldevelopment during the high school years. My admiration for William Shatner, Leonard Nimoy, andGene Roddenberry verged on idolatry at that time, and the show was my main source of inspiration inlife.
I thought then, in my childish immaturity, that Star Trek was visionary and that it represented a dream
that was the only real hope for Earth’s future!
At that time, I looked to Gene Roddenberry’s vision of the future and took hope from it, finding a new
optimism in its naive assumptions. I watched the many episodes of the series and felt I could envisiona grand ascendency of the human race in some future era. I thought this would be a human-engineeredascendency which would somehow be connected to technological advancement, and which would betied to the exploration of outer space. I began then to conceive that star-travel developments andevolution would bring a necessary salvation to the teeming masses of humanity.
In those high school years, I began to accept Gene Roddenberry as the most visible prophet of a new
faith— I perceived, at a very early stage, that Roddenberry’s own faith was a kind of Cosmic Optimism. It was a faith in science and evolution that would appeal to the Science-Fiction Believers throughout theworld.
I somehow chose, like countless other young people all across the United States (as well as many
scientists in various far-flung locations), to accept this man Roddenberry as the new prophet that I wouldfollow. I bought into his vision of a utopian future engineered by human beings and by humantechnology.
I should have known it was just a vain fantasy concocted by an anti-Christian atheist, but I got really
excited about it and started to share Roddenberry’s vision of a Glorious Future that would be human-engineered. brought about by an omni-competent human race.
I could tell, even then, that Gene Roddenberry and all his Star Trek collaborators really believed in
something. To what belief-system did these script-writers and entertainers subscribe so passionately? It was plainly evident to me, so I immediately realized that the source of their inspiration was the religionof Humanism, together with a great faith in Evolution. Evolutionism was crucial to their worldview, Iperceived, and it was a New Religion. It was, I foolishly believed, a grand new religion with a grandscheme for the future of humanity! Scientism will rule, I thought!
But now I am much older, and considerably wiser. I was not much surprised to learn the truth about
Gene Roddenberry’s life through my own considerable reading in this area. Other persons, however, willbe astonished to learn that this producer of popular s-f television was not at all the virtuous dreamer thatthey have conceived him to be. Nor was he the noble-hearted and extremely intellectual writer of fictionthat they may have assumed.
It is bizarre that so many on our Earth should have accepted this man as their “Great Bird of the
Galaxy,” and as their Prophet of a New Age, without having any real knowledge of his personal character, and without feeling any concern about the severity of his character-faults.
The personal immorality displayed in his social behavior was apparently of no great concern to the
followers of this New Age Prophet. His vast army of followers gave him unswerving loyalty and devotion, offering him their endless adulation. They were absolutely blind to the personal shortcomings of theirprophet. They were totally unconcerned by his ceaseless display of vices and immorality, in a behavior-pattern that is quite inappropriate for anyone who masquerades as a prophet of virtue.
If I had read at some earlier date Joel Engel’s revealing book, Gene Roddenberry: The Myth And TheMan Behind Star Trek, I would have gained a much clearer understanding of the thought-patterns of thisman whom I once idolized. From that book, any reader can learn what his own co-workers andcollaborators thought of him, and how they would appraise the thought-patterns of this ”Science-FictionGiant” to whom I had once devoted so much time and a personal adulation.
As Engel has thoroughly documented, many of his co-workers and collaborators recall Gene
Roddenberry as a sex-obsessed womanizer, and this was reflected in the coarse language that he choseto employ for his everyday conversations.4 When he lost his affection for his wife Eileen and no longerfelt any sense of fidelity to her, he pursued sexual relationships with other women, including NichelleNichols, Majel Barrett, and his secretary Susan Sackett. Engel writes that,
Roddenberry apparently confided in [Howard] Stevens a great deal. He toldhim that he’d chosen Gene Coon as Star Trek producer based on hisreaction to seeing Nichelle Nichols dressed only in a knit sweater. He saidthat when he was still married to Eileen, he would spend afternoons atBarrett’s apartment, making love to her in the shower, then have to hide hispruney fingers from his wife.5
Even after his marriage to Majel Barrett, he alarmed other couples with the suggestion of partner-
swapping, hinting that he would like to swap spouses in the pursuit of sexual pleasure.6 Engels writesthat “[Robert] Justman and his wife, Jackie, often felt uncomfortable around the Roddenberrys, oncepicking up broad hints about partner switching.”7
It has been reported also that Gene Roddenberry was once visiting in Japan, and while there he was
finding little real comfort in the use of Japanese prostitutes; it occurred to him then that he would ratherbe married to Majel Barrett. He called her up and asked her to come to Japan for a marriage ceremony.8
When she accepted his proposal and arrived in Japan, Roddenbery insisted that he wanted to have
only a Shinto marriage-ceremony.9 Because of his antagonism to the Christian church, and because ofhis strongly avowed disbelief in the Christian God, Roddenberry was determined that he would notundergo a Christian marriage ceremony.
In Roddenberry’s recounting, he began to miss Barrett while passing the timein Tokyo with several prostitutes. After sending for her, they were marriedin a Shinto ceremony, both of them wearing silk robes.10
. . . And then there were his obvious problems with monogamy, one ofmarriage’s theoretical underpinnings. (Soon after the ceremony, he braggedto friends, he had a sexual encounter with a masseuse.)11
Later on, Roddenberry’s acquaintance Jonathan Frakes (who played “Ryker” in the second Star Trek
series) got married inside the United States, with a traditional Christian marriage ceremony performedwithin an Episcopal church. Gene Roddenberry attended the wedding service, but was seen to beseething with inward rage, all because he thought it was such nonsense to be married in a church.
Roddenberry apparently found it outrageous that a major cast member of his Star Trek universe shouldshow any sign of deference to the Christian God.
At the Episcopal marriage of Next Generation star Jonathan Frakes,Roddenberry was so offended by the liturgy that he very nearly left beforethe I-do’s. “He was going nuts,” Rick Berman says.12
Engel has written: “Not all humanists are necessarily devout atheists. But Roddenberry was, and in
his atheism he exhibited the same certainty that religious fundamentalists do. By definition, suchabsolute certitude precludes the ability to examine or accept the validity of opposing viewpoints.”13
It is quite ironic that Roddenberry should have hardened his heart and maintained such a rigid thought-
pattern. In his certainty of the non-existence of God, Gene Roddenberry was violating one of theprincipal tenets of the Star Trek world-view that he created: the idea of showing absolute toleration forall manner of beliefs, no matter how bizarre. Roddenberry had promoted the idea of seeing beauty inthe Infinite Diversity of infinite combinations. He could easily imagine all kinds of bizarre alien creatures, and often provided them with a set of bizarre sexual customs. He first imagined the Betazoid characterof Deanna Troi (played by Marina Sirtis) as a female creature with four breasts. Ms. D.C. Fontana hadfelt compelled to write a memo to him dissuading him from this peculiar idea, which Roddenberryconceived as somehow provocative in appearance.14
Yet Roddenberry adamantly refused to ever consider the possibility that a Universal Being such as God
might also have existence in the vastness of our Universe.
Not surprising then, that Roddenberry had also put up a strong opposition to any suggestion that there
might be some kind of chaplain or ship’s chapel aboard the futuristic starship Enterprise. Roddenberrywas certain that in the future universe of Star Trek, all belief in religion would be discarded, cast asideby the human race as merely “illogical” superstition.
Similarly, when William Shatner wanted to make the search for God a central emphasis of the movie
Star Trek V: The Final Frontier, Gene Roddenberry was vehemently opposed to the idea, thinking thatthere was no place for such a search in his Star Trek universe. Roddenberry tried his best to dissuadethe studio from pursuing such a story line, even getting Arthur C. Clarke to write them a letter explainingthat it was highly improbable that people would still believe in such religious superstitions in a futuristicage such as that of Star Trek.15
When Gene Roddenberry issued an early memo regarding the Ferengi race to Next Generation
production staff, it was designed to be only a description of the cultural background and thought-patternsof the Ferengi. They were to be a dishonest, manipulative, greedy, and sex-obsessed alien race, witha huge sexual appetite. But the memo was a source of considerable amusement to the production staff. Some of Roddenberry’s co-workers laughingly regarded the description of the Ferengi as a pretty goodone for Roddenberry himself.
Besides their “prodigious sexual appetites,” the Ferengi are “connivers andmanipulators.”16
Engel writes that in the “Ferengi memo,” Roddenberry’s description of this new alien race was “an
unwitting psychological self-portrait.”17
It was the real-life betrayal of Star Trek principles that first disappointed
and then angered Roddenberry’s colleagues, particularly those like [David]
Gerrold and [D. C.] Fontana, who’d been there from the beginning andbelieved in Roddenberry.18
Gene Roddenberry did not have much respect for the Democratic President Jimmy Carter, because
of his strong personal bias against any display of a religious belief in a Creator God.
Engel writes of this, repeating the words of Gene Roddenberry:
“I worry,” he said of Jimmy Carter to his secretary Susan Sackett, “about
a president who claims he has a personal relationship with God.” “He feltCarter was a superstitious person, and he didn’t believe in superstition,”Sackett explains. “He believed we should rise above ‘petty superstitions,’ ashe called them.”19
Gene Roddenberry would doubtless prefer and praise our later Democratic President named Bill
Clinton, liking him a lot better than he liked the other liberal Democrat that was Jimmy Carter. GeneRoddenberry obviously felt that the pursuit of sexual pleasure was far more important than a display ofmarital fidelity— or of belief in a communicating God.
I suspect that Roddenberry would feel that in the adulterous Bill Clinton he could find a liberal Democrat
who was much more to his liking. They have some common ground, and in the liberal Bill Clinton,Roddenberry could find a president who is “after his own heart.”
In my own case, I found it very hard to admire that adulterous president, knowing that he had so
besmirched the office of the U.S. Presidency. It is hard to understand how this man who claimed to bea Baptist Christian could often take such anti-church positions, always making a defense of personalimmorality. On two different occasions, President Clinton vetoed a ban on partial-birth abortions, evenwhen a majority in Congress had already approved such legislation.
Such behavior is extremely difficult to comprehend, and it certainly does not behoove a Christian
(reputedly a Baptist) to behave in such a manner. But I’m sure Roddenberry would have greatly admiredPresident Bill Clinton as a “free thinker,” not bound by the traditions of conventional morality.
Michael Eisner, later to control the Disney empire, looked at the Star Trek franchise and saw in it a
property that could become the popularity-base of a fourth TV network in the United States.20
Joel Engel likewise evaluates the Star Trek phenomenon as a major societal influence:
As a symbol of a more perfect world to come, it transcended its original
entertainment medium and grew into a social movement, a philosophy, evena religion. “It was a cult,” Eisner says, “and it seemed to me at the time thatthe cult was large enough to start a fourth network.”21
In his book, Joel Engel writes, “One of the most obvious facts of Roddenberry’s life was that nearly
everyone who worked with him regularly in a creative capacity on any incarnation of Star Trek eventuallydisliked or distrusted him.”22
Many of Roddenberry’s closest co-workers and collaborators remember him as a person who was a
con-man, a deceptive person, and a prevaricator. He often broke promises that he made, and hisemployees were regularly kept at minimal pay. They remember him as one who manipulated otherpeople to his own advantage in a cruel and injurious fashion.
Even Leonard Nimoy apparently sensed a certain inadequacy in Gene Roddenberry, a man who had
been elevated to a position of great adulation by the Star Trek fans. Engels writes in his book:
“My business dealings with him were always miserable,” Leonard Nimoy
says. “Gene always had an agenda— his own. I didn’t see him step up tobat and be the decent honorable humanist that he portrayed himself to be,and that always disappointed me.”23
Roddenberry often professed himself to be an atheist, taking great pride in his unbelief. Gene declared
that he had attended some Baptist church services as a youth, but the communion service he had seenthere had seemed to him a lot like cannibalism. He often professed publicly that he had quickly rejectedChristianity as anti-intellectual nonsense.
Gene Roddenberry was raised to be a good Baptist, just like his mother.
But in his early teens, he began questioning his religious inculcation. “I wasaround fourteen and emerging as a personality,” Roddenberry told TheHumanist. “I had never really paid much attention to the [church] sermonbefore. I was more interested in the deacon’s daughter and what we mightbe doing between services. I listened to the sermon, and I remembercomplete astonishment because what they were talking about were thingsthat were just crazy. It was Communion time, where you eat this wafer andare supposed to be eating the body of Christ and drinking his blood. My firstimpression was, ‘This is a bunch of cannibals they’ve put me down among.’”
Apparently, Roddenberry hadn’t paid very close attention in church to the
reasoning behind the Communion ceremony, because he said that he“puzzled” over its origins: “How the hell did Jesus become something to beeaten?”
At that epiphanic moment, Roddenberry continued, he began to equate
Jesus with the likes of Santa Claus and chose to ignore “the nonsense,”“magic,” and “superstition” of religion. Thus freed from the concept of God—“the guy who knows you masturbate”— he tried to extricate himself fromshame, guilt, and blame, from contrition or penitence— from any emotion orthought that might undermine the pursuit of pleasure or the quenching ofpassion.24
Little wonder then that his lifetime on Earth was one of many vices and personal failures. Rather than
being the Virtuous Visionary that I once imagined, Gene Roddenberry was a man addicted to alcohol anddrugs throughout all the years of his successes. His collaborator David Gerrold has stated that he is notsure he ever once saw Roddenberry sober.25 He apparently drank alcohol from the moment heawakened till the day was done. His drug use included a large number of legal and illegal drugs, amongwhich were marijuana and cocaine.26
It is also reported that one of the drugs Roddenberry used was Prozac,27 because he had carried on
a lifelong battle against depression. Engel quotes Roddenberry’s one-time secretary Susan Sackett assaying, “He seemed to suffer from depression on and off all of his life.”28 Who would have expected thatfrom the High Priest of Cosmic Optimism?
However, there is a Christian pastor whose sermons I find much more beneficial and informative — Dr.
D. James Kennedy of the Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. I’ve always liked Dr. Kennedy’s TV sermonsbecause they are so rich in historical data and informational content, and his teachings are a lot moreeducational than those of Gene Roddenberry.
At this point, I cannot help but recall having once heard Dr. Kennedy quote the famous Thomas Huxley,
who was one of the first major proponents of Darwin’s theory of Evolution, as having said, “I suppose thatthe reason we [all] leapt at the Origin is that the idea of God interfered with our sexual mores.”29
No doubt Roddenberry found his atheistic and evolutionary beliefs convenient in a very similar way.
Aldous Huxley, also a writer of science-fiction stories, was the author of a novel entitled Brave NewWorld, which envisioned the possibility of a terrible dystopia (a negative-utopia) arising as the future fateof our Earth. In the dystopia that he imagined, drug-use was commonplace and would be used tomaintain control over the population of our world. Huxley himself was a drug-user, very familiar with thiskind of situation, in which the drug-addiction exercises a great measure of control over a person’s dailylife.
He likewise was a revolutionary-thinker, a humanist of the same stripe as Roddenberry, and yet a bit
of an anarchist as well. Like Roddenberry, he frequently put illegal drugs inside his human body, andhe too lived his life as a sexual libertine. In his own day, Aldous Huxley was regarded as “the apostleof a new morality.”
In later life, Aldous Huxley spoke more honestly about the real foundation of that “new morality” which
Writing in his acclaimed book Ends And Means, Aldous Huxley finally confessed the truth of the matter.
In that book he said, “I had motives for not wanting the world to have a meaning, consequently Iassumed that it had none, and was able without any difficulty to find satisfactory reasons for thisassumption— for myself, as no doubt, for most of my contemporaries, the philosophy ofmeaninglessness was essentially an instrument of liberation. The liberation we desired wassimultaneously liberation from a certain political and economic system and liberation from a certainsystem of morality. We objected to the morality because it interfered with our sexual freedom.”30
The foundation of that “new morality” which Gene Roddenberry promoted throughout our world was
built upon similar circumstances. Gene Roddenberry’s creative accomplishments caused him, in a likefashion, to be regarded as “an advocate of humanism, the apostle of a new morality.”
But the “scientific” thought-pattern of these men is not logical at all, nor is it unbiased and objective,
as they falsely profess. The perspective which they espouse is one of pseudo-science and irrationalism;and they have used it to create a false Universe, a fantasy Universe that has no existence outside of theirown imagination.
Yet they are unaware of their own blindness, and they entice millions of followers to partake of their
folly, and these adherents do indeed share in the delusion of their favorite authors.
The blind herds of humanity eagerly follow behind these sightless leaders, like lemmings headed for
the cliff of their ultimate destruction.
Do these “scientific” visionaries help our race to devise a wonderful utopia for the population of our
Earth? Do they help propel our planet in a new direction, to some fabulous “Star Trek” heaven whichmight come to exist in our planet’s distant future?
No, for they are deceivers and purveyors of False Science. Their predictions are valid only as they
relate to the potential of our scientific technology, which is constantly improving, still advancing at asteady clip.
Instead, they use their own sexual appetites as a justification for such liberal horrors as the Abortion
Holocaust. They object to the old morality because it interfered with their desire for sexual freedom, andin its place they offer a “new age” of sexual license.
So what is the outcome of this so-called “scientific attitude” toward the management of human affairs
In order that there may no longer exist any restrictions upon the sexual lusts of our society, our Earth’s
population has, for the most part, condoned the Abominable Holocaust of the abortionists. The liberalsof our Earth have insisted that they are “pro-choice.”
But our God is pro-life! Those who choose to hate God are lovers of death. God has declared in His
Holy Scripture that “All those who hate Me love Death.” These unbelieving abortionists love death, andthey are truly disciples of Death, for they do not keep God’s commandments, nor do they appreciate thesalvation that God has offered them.
God has given Freedom of Choice to all human beings on our Earth. God allows you to make choices,
but God has also warned you that you must choose wisely. The people of Earth can choose Eternal Lifewith God, or they can choose the detachment of a perpetual hellishness, living without Him for all ofeternity.
All those who hate God love death. Those who now eagerly destroy the youngest and weakest
individuals of humanity will, in just a few more years, be eagerly seeking to destroy as well the oldestindividuals among the population of our Earth.
Just as there were financial incentives to reward the abortionists who perpetuate the Abominable
Holocaust of human child-sacrifice, so there will be economic “advantages” to be gained from the newEuthanasia Industry that will perhaps very soon be springing up on our planet.
The Euthanasia proponents will not be satisfied with the elimination of unborn infants and the most
decrepit of elderly persons, of course; they will wish as well to see the elimination of those babies whoare born defective in any way. They will wish to see the elimination of any child who is not born withvisible signs of a superior strength and vitality— for that is the way of the fascist mentality.
This is in accord with the faulty premise which they cherish, the weird notion that they can use genetic
manipulation to re-direct the future of the human race, and in this process they believe they will ultimatelyproduce “a superman.”
What is the outcome of this so-called “scientific attitude” toward the management of human affairs on
Earth? The science-fiction writers, together with a large number of science-fiction speakers, areregarded as visionaries, and they are the ones whom the masses of humanity have chosen to lead ourrace, as the brave New Prophets of humanity. Has this “new morality” produced a New Age of healthand vigor for the societies of our Earth?
Quite the contrary. It has already produced on Earth, at this very moment, a nightmarish development
which goes far beyond anything conceived by Jonathan Swift in his Modest Proposal of 1729.
Abortion clinics all over our planet are busily selling “fetus material” and unborn-baby organs to a
variety of scientific research laboratories. A great many businesses are doing their “research-and-development” with the aid of the body-parts of these unborn babies, and it has become a highly profitablebusiness for them.
A great deal of money is passing hands— going from the fetus-brokers to the abortionists, and from
the research companies to the fetus-brokers. There is a great deal of money to be made in the abortionindustry, it seems.
The Nazis were great believers in “efficiency,” and so they sometimes felt compelled to transform the
bodies of their Jewish victims into something more useful— like bars of soap, which they could use towash the faces of the “super race” which survived their Holocaust.
The Abortion Fascists are likewise directed by an inner urge, one of a similar sort, an instinct which tells
them they should put the bodies of dead babies to some good use.
So they sell the dead baby-parts to the cosmetic research labs, who think to incorporate “fetus material”
in facial creams for fine ladies. Having fetus-material in the facial cream, they conceive, will have awonderful effect on the delicate skin of fine ladies, helping each of them to rejuvenate the skin of theirfaces— ridding them of unpleasant wrinkles and worry-lines!
And this is only one of many ideas for the efficient use of “fetus material,” which the research
laboratories, hospitals, and universities of our Earth have turned into a highly profitable businessopportunity.
Swift’s incisive satire, which he had humbly named A Modest Proposal, had been written centuries
before this development. In it, he had suggested that human babies from the poorer segment of hisnation— coming as they did from impoverished families who could not afford them and who got littlefinancial benefit from them— should be sold as a special delicacy for fine ladies and rich gentlemen. Their bodies could be cooked and served to wealthy gentlemen as a fine cuisine, and the skins of thesebabies would not have to go to waste, because they could be transformed into ladies’ gloves and purses.
The skins of these tiny babies could be transformed into a soft and luxurious leather, and they would
then be utilized to produce a variety of leather goods. This plan, Swift proposed, would bring about themost efficient use of a valuable natural resource. It would greatly reduce the numbers of the poor, andit would allow all persons to live out their days in a well-fed fashion. The plan would even rescue all thepoverty-stricken neighborhoods in the land, lifting them up from the deprivation of their plight, since thepoor would be well-compensated for the loss of their babies. They were to receive financialremuneration for the harvesting of their babies, and would be richly rewarded for their sacrifice.
This, Swift felt, would become a major source of income for the impoverished masses, a means by
which their babies would no longer be a drain upon the parent’s financial resources. The babies couldin this way become productive and useful, and could become a major source of income for the parents. The richer classes of society could thus be rid of the unpleasant existence of the poorer element, andbeggars would be eliminated from their society.
This abrasive vision of Jonathan Swift has now come to pass, and the human population of Earth now
cannibalizes itself, eating the dead bodies of the millions of aborted babies which it has produced.
For this abomination alone, God should pour out His Wrath upon our Earth. These holocausts have
arisen in an environment of sexual lust, self-indulgence, and narcissistic excess, as humanity now allowsits sins to run rampant on our Earth. The liberals, the “Humanists,” and all the Evolutionists of the humanrace has used the desire for “sexual freedom” as their justification for these travesties.
For this abomination alone, God should pour out His Wrath upon our Earth. But there is other
immorality as well, a continuing sinfulness which is progressively worse.
Professor J. D. Unwin of the University of Cambridge wrote a book called Sex And Culture, which
Huxley regarded as a work of the highest importance. Perhaps Huxley should have read it morecarefully. In this book, Professor Unwin discusses the trends of society and the tides of civilizationthrough centuries of time, and he comes to the following conclusion: “Sometimes a man has been heardto declare that he wishes both to enjoy the advantages of high culture and to abolish continence. Anyhuman society is free to choose either to display great energy or to enjoy sexual freedom; the evidenceis that no nation can do both for more than one generation.”31
Gene Roddenberry, you may now perceive, is an example of that person who wishes to enjoy the
advantages of high culture— in his real life, and in the fantasized utopia of that “Star Trek” heaven whichhe created for himself, a painless place of custom-crafted perfection. Yet he thought he would do thiswhile he was simultaneously absorbed in the pleasures of his “sexual freedom.” He sought to redesignthe Universe to his own specifications, while remaining forever irresponsible in his personal life, with nofeelings of moral accountability.
I can only wish that Gene Roddenberry had pondered these words of Professor Unwin before he died,
and I can only wish that he had recognized the deeper truths of human history. More importantly, andmore specifically, I wish Gene Roddenberry had learned to appreciate the wisdom and logic of God’sHoly Book. If he had understood our Christian heritage, Gene Roddenberry might then have left a betterinheritance for “the next generation” of humanity.
He would then realize and know with certainty that there are Absolute Truths in God’s Universe. God’s
Universe, the one which God Almighty has authored, is more than just an Open Door. The Universewhich God Almighty has created is not a cold and impersonal universe, like the alternate realities of thescience-fiction writers. It is not merely a foolish game intended for the endless amusement ofEarthlings— nor is it merely an Infinite Diversity of delights for our personal entertainment.
There is an Infinite Diversity of viewpoints for the creatures of God’s Universe, but there is only ONE
being who can establish the Absolute Truths of God’s Universe. God is that Being Who Sees the EndFrom the Beginning. God is that Superbeing Who has created our Universe. He is the Alpha and theOmega, the First and the Last. the Holy One Who has No Beginning, and Who will likewise has NoEnding.
God is the God of Science-Truth, and God’s Son is the Door. He who enters by this Door has found
Our Father In Heaven is the God of Absolute Truth, and God’s Son likewise is the God of Absolute
Truth. God’s Spirit likewise is the God of Absolute Truth, and confirms the Truth of the Son.
This Holy Trinity is One God, and He is Truth, and He is Absolute. Our Lord is the God of Science and
the God of Absolute Truth, and so our Lord is the God of Science-Truth.
Little Earthling, the fact is that you were conned, and you were conned in a Big Way. Con artists are
aware that they can usually get people to believe them if they just make the lie big enough. Similarly, thescience-fiction authors manage to con all of their readership by a very simple ruse: They tell the readerthe Biggest Lies imaginable, but it is a story that the unbeliever very much wants to hear.
It is a story the unbelievers are extremely eager to hear, because they have nothing else in which to
place their faith. There is a God-shaped vacuum in their hearts, a hole that should have been filled witha belief in Christ.
Instead, they create for themselves a fantasy-playground in outer space, and they dream of finding
heaven on another planet. or in a distant future. or through technological progress. If they areunhappy, they conceive a strange thought: maybe they will find some talented alchemist who will mix upjust the right batch of chemicals for them. producing the gold that will make them happy, or the medicinethat will eliminate their discomfort.
This is the nature of the Great Science-Fiction Hoax, to which we have referred in several of the tracts
of this series. It is a deceit that is pervasive and invasive.
This is the Great Lie which has overwhelmed our planet during the Last Days of Old Earth. You will
perhaps recall that God’s Holy Scriptures in the New Testament predicted, roughly two thousand yearsago, that in the Last Days the population of the Earth would fall under the delusion of a Great Lie. Isuggest that the two-headed monster which is Evolutionism/Humanism is precisely that Great Lie ofwhich God’s prophets have spoken.
This is the Lie that was predicted by God’s prophets at least 2000 years ago, and even earlier than that.
Darwin called his abominable book The Origin Of Species. There are some on our Earth who would
perhaps maintain that his book would be better named The Origin Of The Great Lie. But I think they arenot exactly correct in that assumption. The Lie of Evolution, this myth that the Universe somehow gotstarted without any need of a Creation by the Almighty God of Heaven, has been around a long time. and precedes all the mental ramblings of Charles Darwin, that theology-student-turned-apostate whoturned the world upside-down.
In the next tract of this series, we will deal with a topic which we will call the Inevitable Progress Scam,
and we will then explain further the long history of this Great Lie.
The Great Lie of Evolution, I believe, precedes Darwin; it precedes the French Enlightenment; it
precedes even the false religion of ancient Babylon. I think it goes back to the evolutionary fantasy ofLucifer, who refused to recognize our God as his Creator and Lord. because he was unwilling toacknowledge God’s Own Eternal Nature and God’s Omniscience.
With this Great Lie the angel Lucifer deceived himself, and with it now he deceives a massive
population on our planet Earth. With it he now deceives all the nations of this ancient Earth. With it andsimilar lies, he has deceived a great many generations of humanity. Therefore he is rightly called theFather of All Liars.
I am now ashamed to think that I myself spent so many years of my life following the Teachers of
Untruth, the Evolutionists, so often wallowing in the unreal worlds of their immorality. Others, who arestill devoted Evolutionists, must now continue to make excuses for a similar preoccupation.
My parents sent me to a Presbyterian Sunday School through all the years of my childhood and my
youth, right up until the time I finished high school. Rather than properly admiring the Scriptures and theprophets of our God, which God Almighty has sent to our Earth in great abundance, I once chose toinstead idolize the prophets of Science-Falsehood.
I now think, “Forgive me, Lord Almighty! It’s true that I went astray for many years— for a great manyyears I was lost and deceived. I fell prey to the cults of the evolutionists. I know that now. But I haverepented of that sin long ago, and I have already asked for forgiveness in the name of my Savior, Whois Your Son.”
And that I have obtained. But I can see now that I was not nearly so intelligent as I thought myself to
be during all those many years of my Evolution-worshiping youth. Strangely, I even continued to feed mys-f addiction with further films and more television programs of the same sort, long after I had returnedto a solid belief in the Holy Scriptures of God’s Book!
A lifetime of early s-f addiction creates habits that are not easily broken, but now I know what’s
happening when I see some new s-f show appearing on national television. I know what it’s all about. I know the producers/writers/actors are trying to indoctrinate everyone with their own belief-system, whichis a faith in the False Religion of Evolution. And I no longer have any real interest in the s-f shows. although I still find myself tuning in for a few of the superhero programs. But even that is pretty muchlimited to the one TV show that is called Smallville. and perhaps one or two superhero movies that Imay see each year in the confines of a local cinema, or at home via a rented DVD.
While living on this Earth, I once felt a great pride in my own ability to “figure out” the Universe in which
I lived. In my youth, I believed that I could see the way of the world better than other men. How is it thenthat I was so blind for so many years?
It is because I was conned and hoodwinked for many years, allowing my mind to be manipulated byFalse Teachers and False Prophets— by s-f and fantasy authors who distorted the truth of God’sUniverse, turning it into a deception and a travesty.
But that’s enough for now about the fantastic world-view of the unbelievers — the humanists and the
evolutionists who live daily in an unrealistic world of their own imagination. These dreamers live totallyin a world of Illusion and Delusions. The gods and goals that they conceive for the Universe are merelyfigments of their own idle minds. They live in a world of darkness and dreams that is devoid of the Lightof Jesus Christ. Their world is unreal, a product of their own overactive imaginations. not at allconsistent with the Real Universe which God Almighty has created.
Before you continue onward to the next booklet in this series, we wish to explain for you the basic
Truth of Reality. the Absolute Truth of God Almighty. We need to tell you that Jesus Christ is the Truthand the Light of the World— that’s why He is called the Word of God.
Jesus died by torture as an innocent victim of sin, so that you and I might be spared the torture of Hell.
He died sinless, proving to all humanity, and proving to all the angels likewise, that He would follow HisFather’s will exactly and completely. even when it required of Him that He would undergo a torturouscrucifixion.
Jesus won His battle against Satan that day, and in His crucifixion He created for us an escape route,
a means by which we humans may escape the fate we really deserve. which is a destination in Hell. In His Resurrection, He showed us that Resurrection Body which He plans to give to His followers.
At the Resurrection Day, which is still somewhere in our future, a great many of His followers, those
who are True Believers, will be given a wonderful Glorified Body like that which Jesus displayed tocrowds of humanity during the first 40 days after His Resurrection.
There are others who will never gain a Resurrection Body, nor an Eternal Life with God in Heaven.
They will never again see the Presence of Jesus or His Father, and thus they will lose forever the Lightof the World.
You’ve heard the evolutionary explanation of Universal development for a great many years, with all
of its elaborate details. ever since you were a child. You’ve surely encountered its advocates in everyarena of the academic world and in every arena of everyday life. Its proponents are everywhere, and theyhave already proselytized much of the Earth. You are doubtless thoroughly accustomed to that way ofthinking.
But what is the Biblical scheme of Earth's history and direction.? It’s the alternative explanation that
God has given us in His Holy Scriptures.
A lot of people on our planet, even some Christian theologians, have tried to make the Bible compatible
with their own evolutionary beliefs. But can that really be done? Such people reduce Biblical history toinsignificance beside the enormity of their faith in the grand Theory of Evolution.
The Bible paints a very different picture concerning the history and future destiny of the Earth, and it
is quite at odds with the beliefs of those who have faith in Evolution.
In the Holy Bible, God offers you a different and superior view of Earth’s development and its future
fate. From the Holy Scriptures of the Bible we learn that Jesus Christ makes known to us the greatsecrets of the Universe— secrets not revealed on Earth from the time of Creation until the time of Hisarrival on our planet.
Here’s the Truth about the Universe, its progress, and God’s ultimate goal for the human race. the
establishment of a paradise that God plans for the people of the Earth. What is the Biblical scheme of Earth’s history and direction? It’s a long-range plan by which God will transform and re-populate the planet Earth. It's a vision of vast scope and mind-boggling predictions.God's developmental plan for our Universe is an astounding program of transformations .!
Here are 20 stages of ascent that should lead you to a genuine comprehension of your purpose and
destiny in the Universe. These will help you to reach a higher level of consciousness, a lofty place whereyou will better understand of the history of the Earth and God’s goal for humanity.
1. A theme of WARFARE runs through the many books of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. We
see evidence of angelic warfare, of historic military warfare between God's chosen people and theungodly nations.
There are predictions of further warfare between the elect of Christ and the anti- Christian forces, and
of a final great battle of Armageddon. SPIRITUAL WARFARE devastates this planet until Christ's Kingdom comes !
2. A theme of APOCALYPTIC DESTRUCTION and RE-CREATION runs through the books of the
Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. We see this in the Genesis record of Noah and the Great Flood, andin the predictions of the Old Testament prophets.
Jesus himself speaks of this in great detail as he is quoted in Mat. 24, Luke 17:24-37, and otherplaces in the gospels. There are many such references in the epistles, and the final book, John'sRevelation of Jesus Christ, is devoted almost exclusively to this subject.
3. A theme of the SURVIVAL OF A REMNANT who are loyal to God runs through the many books of
the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation.
4. Rather than the Darwinian concept of "natural selection" and "survival of the fittest" (meaning thestrongest) in a scheme of evolution, God's system of development is quite different!
God's plan is that there will be "DIVINE ELECTION" of all those who have chosen to accept His system of grace and mercy through Jesus Christ, and His plan calls for a "SURVIVAL OF THE LOYAL" instead.
5. In this scheme which God Himself has formulated, it is not the STRONGEST who survive, but rather the SUBMISSIVE! (In this regard, it is certainly true that God can make the weak person become strong. But a personwho is too strong and egotistical God may choose to crush, in order that he— or she— will be humbledand will become submissive to the will of God!)
6. God is continuously harvesting the Earth as His ever-progressing plan of DIVINE SELECTION goes
forward, through a wise and millennia-long program of evaluation— through interminable testing ofpeople and a very lengthy developmental process of SELECTING and REJECTING.
7. Thus, a theme of DIVINE SELECTION through a LONG-RANGE, millennia-spanning DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM becomes evident.
8. This calls for a MAJOR SHIFT IN THE WORLD-VIEW that is held by any individual.
It truly requires a COPERNICAN REVOLUTION IN THE MIND-SET of a human being.
9. You must comprehend with an entirely new way of looking at the Universe— for to be among the
redeemed, to be among the survivors who are granted eternal life with God, you must place JESUS CHRIST AT THE CENTER OF YOUR UNIVERSE, in the very place where once YOUR OWN EGO had ruled supreme!
You need to put the Sun of Heaven inside your heart! Once He is there, He will illuminate your mind
and all areas of the Universe with the bright Light of His Presence. His Light will be radiant in your face,in your life, and your actions. Just as Moses’ face was radiant after he was in the presence of God, thefollower of Jesus reflects the brilliant Light of the Lord Christ! His Holy Spirit will be inside youforevermore, making you aware of His Lordship and His Truth. giving you eternal access to His DivineWisdom.
10. To be among the rescued, you must be a part of the Chosen Remnant of humanity that God will
save from the Old Earth. A person must first become a believer of God, one who believes all God's words(His open communication to the human race), as revealed through Holy Scriptures and through God'sonly true Son, Jesus Christ.
God will show us mercy and forgiveness of our sins only when we come to Him through the sacrificial
death of His one true Son, Jesus. God has made provision for grace (leniency and forgiveness), but He offers it to us only via the substituted sacrifice of the Savior, Jesus Christ.
11. Jesus has willingly agreed, already, to receive all your preordained punishment, in order that
you may be spared from the Judgment fate— a destination in Hell. That punishment is what a person'ssinfulness will otherwise deserve. . . and it will be found inescapable. . . at the great Judgment Day ofGod, when God will ultimately evaluate and judge the deeds of all souls.
12. Any soul can be spared on the basis of God's own painful sacrifice, by a belief in the salvation God
offers through His chosen Messiah, His only-begotten Son Jesus Christ.
Those souls that are spared will be the ones that have opened the door of the heart and have allowed
Jesus Christ to come inside. Through His Holy Spirit, He can take up residence inside you as the NewCenter of the Universe. . . as a brilliant light at the center of the spiritual "solar system." After that, everything in the Universe will revolve around God in an orderly and logical fashion. The progress of theUniverse, and of God’s Plan for it, will from that time forward seem logical and orderly to your mind.
13. Are you still living as the only focal point of an Earth-centered universe? It’s time for you to stop
Could a Christ-in Revolution change your mind-set. . . and establish instead the reality of a
You can move away from humanism if you so desire, move on to a higher level where you worship the
True God, the Creator of our Universe. Do you really believe that Man is the center of all things. themeasure of all things? God is the One Who will ultimately measure and evaluate the deeds of everyhuman being!
You need to put the Sun of Heaven inside your heart. Jesus Christ is “the Sun of Righteousness,” and
through His Holy Spirit, He can put some of His righteousness inside you. More importantly, God creditsthe follower of Jesus Christ with the Holiness and Righteousness of His Son. You need to place Him onthe throne of your heart, declaring Him to be “the Sun King” of your life!
14. The brilliant light of Jesus Christ can give you an "internal guidance system" for your heart. . .
and this will provide orderly direction for the "planetary system" of your personal worldview.
When you put Jesus on a throne in your heart, He provides a warm "sun" for that great void in your
internal universe, and it will then burn continuously to dispel all the darkness/ coldness that would existthere without His presence. After that, you will have a logical "solar system" for all the interactiveelements of your life.
15. Those souls who are not to be spared on this basis (those who have rejected God's words, His
truth, His light, and His sacrifice) will suffer eternal separation from God. They will be cast instead intowhat Jesus calls “the Outer Darkness.” They will be forced to endure an eternal separation from God andGod's final achievement— the recreated Paradise that will then be revealed as His ultimate objective.
This will be a NEW EARTH produced by God for all those persons whom He has rescued (or harvested) from the present world. God will populate it with those He has chosen through His millennia-long DEVELOPMENTAL PROGRAM of DIVINE SELECTION.
16. This is God's final goal— His objective is to produce an entirely different world, a new and totally restructured world that will be vastly superior to this present world of distress and disorder, of countless evils and sin-produced chaos. It is certain that the NEW EARTH will be immensely more pleasant than this present one, which willeventually be rejected and replaced!
17. You gain an Eternal Life with God when you put the Sun of Heaven in your heart. You can do this
by placing Jesus Christ, Who in the Trinity of God created our Universe, upon a throne at the center of your heart! He deserves that position and that kind of respect. He was first God The Son, but when born in human flesh He became the only sinless and righteous person who ever lived. Yet He sacrificed Himself on a cross for your sake, taking all guilt and sins upon Himself— for you and for me, for all people everywhere— so that whoever wishes for salvation might be rescued from the due punishment of sins.
18. If you will do this, you will gain a new contentment and peace as you accept God's organizational plan for the Universe. . . because you'll be letting God be the Ruler of All Things in this world. . . and in your own life.
The Sun of Heaven will then reign in your life as the supreme Power that governs all things. The Bible
calls Jesus Christ both “the Sun of Heaven” and “the Sun of Righteousness.” When you place Christ inyour heart, He will lead you to a new life of righteousness. The Holy Spirit will start to rebuild you in theimage of God, making you more like Jesus. You’ll become a brother (or sister) to Jesus Christ!
19. All it really takes is a simple but sincere little prayer— one that you should make up in your own words. The prayer for deliverance and for God's leadership should come from your own heart! Some important elements that you might include are: 1) your desire to turn away from the wrongness or evil of your past life, and your rem orse over the sins of your previous life, 2) your desire for God's forgiveness and m ercy through the act of sacrifice of His Only Begotten Son (Jesus Christ), 3) your desire to know God's leadership in your life, 4) your desire to learn m ore of God's truth through Bible study,
5) your desire to find fellowship with genuine believers.
After accepting forgiveness through Jesus Christ, you m ust sincerely seek to turn away from evil, to the best of your ability;
and you m ust further seek to gain knowledge of God's will through a diligent study of the Holy Scriptures of the Bible. Also, you m ust not neglect to m aintain a fellowship and com m unication with G od through the device of daily prayer.
20. This Sunday, don’t just worship the sun, like the followers of Baal, the Roman polytheists, and the
pagans. You shouldn’t worship nature like the pantheists and the animists. The supernatural does exist, because God’s Spirit is above and behind the natural world. and superior to it. So don’t worship the sunand the stars like the naturalistic science advocates, the humanists, the evolutionists, and many of ourmodern-day science-fiction fans!
Don’t go out to worship the sun and stars this Sunday. Instead, go out to a good Bible-believing church
and worship the Holy One Who is the Sun of Heaven— Jesus Christ, Who is both the Son of God andGod The Son. Jesus Christ is the Sun of Heaven, and He is the Light of the World!
When you accept Jesus into your heart, His Light will transform your own mind and heart. Your purpose
and goals will be changed, because you’ll want other people to learn about the good news of JesusChrist’s resurrection. You’ll want to share the light, and you’ll want to worship the Sun of Heaven in ahouse of God!
This Sunday, bless the Father in Heaven by honoring His Son, of Whom He is very proud. Jesus said of the people of God that "The kingdom of heaven is like a net that God has cast into
the sea, and it gathers of every kind: When it is full, it will be pulled up on the shore, where they will sit down to sort the catch, and they will collect the good fish in baskets, but the bad things will be thrown away. This is the way it will be at the end of the world: The angels shall come forth, and they will separate the unrighteous persons from among those justified by God. . ." Excerpt from the book of Matthew, who was a constantcompanion of Jesus and his devoted disciple [13:47-50].Jesus spoke of the people of God as being like a seed that is growing secretly, saying, "As for
the kingdom of God, it is as if a person should cast seed into the ground; and then he sleeps, and he rises up night and day to see that the seed is springing forth and always growing up, although he knows not exactly how. The Earth is bringing forth fruit from itself; first the blade, then the ears of corn, and after that the fullness of the ears of corn. And when all the fruit of the Earth has come forth, immediately God will use the sickle to reap the fields, because the harvest-time has come." Excerpt from the book of Mark [4:26-29].
It's also important for all of us to remember this: 1) WE SPEAK TO GOD by our prayers. 2) GOD SPEAKS TO US by the words of Holy Scripture.
So we must try to read His words and His Book just as often as we possibly can!!
God wants to bless you for all your long efforts to understand this very confusing and difficult Universein which we live so let Him reward your search with the grace of His forgiveness and enlightenment!
