Bulletin 27 August 2009 Bulletin 27th August 2009
The Local Food Festival is drawing ever nearer and it is shaping up to be a great afternoon out. To help keep our carbon footprint small and to encourage you to leave the car at home we have organised a free shuttle bus to and from the NHTT villages. It will be doing two runs at the start of the event as detailed below and will be available from 4.30 pm to take anyone home within the NHTT area. We
would like to encourage use of this service where possible. The minibus will also
be shuttling people up the Monimail woods with Tony Wilson from Fife Ranger
service to go on a mini wild food foray. These will take place at 2.15pm and 3.45pm.
A Flyer and programme will be heading your way soon but in the meantime I have
attached The Local Food Festival Poster to give you a taste of what is in store.
16.30 start runs home and continue until all cleared. E Barter
A reminder that the North Howe Barter Google group is up and running. So if your harvest has left you with an excess of green beans or carrots you can join the group and make an exchange for other local produce or services. The group is very easy to use and you can choose the level of notification to reduce email traffic. It is open to anyone in the community. If you would like to join North Howe Barter or learn a bit more about how it works please get in touch with Louise.
