DISCHARGE MEDICATIONS Doxycycline 100mg. Start today. Take one blue capsule twice a day for 7 days. Take 15 to 20 minutes after eating a solid food. Doxycycline can cause nausea and vomiting if taken on an empty stomach. Metronidazole 500mg. Take all four white pills together tonight after dinner. Do not drink alcohol for 48 hours after taking this medication as this can cause severe vomiting. Ergonovine 0.2mg. One tablet 4 times a day for 2 ½ days.
