3.1 Dibromo aldehyde
3.1.1 Status of dibromo aldehyde production in China
From 2007 to 2009, output of dibromo aldehyde keeps relatively stable, and bromine consumption keeps stably low, ranging from XX tonnes to XX tonnes. Since domestic demand for TMP is limited and it is difficult for China's producers to compete with Indian producers in the international markets, domestic output of dibromo aldehyde would still keep relatively low Table 3.1.1-1 Status of dibromo aldehyde production in China, 2007-2010 Capacity, t/a

3.2.1 Status of chloramphenicol production in China
Demand for chloramphenicol decreased quickly since 2000, but it keeps relatively stable during 2007 to 2010. Chloramphenicol is still one of the largest bromine consuming sectors in China;its bromine consumption keeps ranging from XX tonnes to XX tonnes from 2007 to Table 3.2.1-1 Status of chloramphenicol production in China, 2007-2010 Capacity, t/a

3.2.2 Main producers of chloramphenicol in China
There were more than 10,000 producers in the early 1990s in China. Many producers had to stop chloramphenico production at the end of last century because of the enviroment pollution in the process of producing chloramphenicol, limited bromine resource and weak demand; there are just 3 producers in China now. They are: Jiangsu Nanjing XX Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. XX and XX are two listed companies in China. Table 3.2.2-1 Main producers of chloramphenicol in China, 2010 Output’09,

3.3.1 Status of amantadine hydrochloride production in China
During 2007 to 2009, the output of amantadine hydrochoride maintains an increasing trend. But restricted by the limited bromine resource in China, the producers have to reduce their output in 2010. Since the domestic demand still keeps relatively stable and the overseas demand is increasing gradually, some producers have increased their production capacity in Table 3.3.1-1 Status of amantadine hydrochloride production in China, 2007-2010 Capacity, t/a
